Purpose: The Meggitt Production System (MPS) SBU Leader is primarily responsible for: the development and deployment of the tools, methods and processes that make up the Meggitt Production System including OD tools, Lean Management Systems, Six Sigma, and Lean & Waste elimination approaches key to MPS system effectiveness.

Regional and site and functional engagement accountability for systematic multiyear roll out of MPS by site & functional area. Leading and Supporting – by advising, coaching, training, and capability-building - SBU and site Continuous Improvement Leaders, Operations Leaders, and Site Leadership Councils as they progress their sites through the maturity stages of the Meggitt Production System.

Specific responsibilities: The Process Leader will also be required to contribute towards the following activities in support of the Corporate MPS team:- • Analysis of ‘as-is’ state, ‘to-be’ state, VSM development, gap analysis, development of foundational pre-requisites • Development/deployment of accelerated foundational strategies as well as execution plans and oversight / reviews • Baseline ‘as-is’ learning/knowledge/skills/expertise and ensure leading practice knowledge is leveraged across sites • Lead and coordinate Strategic Deployment process and drive execution of process with functional leads within their team. • Establish learning, certification, and a core capability learning approach for key tools, methods and MPS elements • Maintain a close interface with the HR/OD function, ensuring an effective cultural base transformation through the use of appropriate change management methods • Maintain a close interface with external organizations supporting MPS tools & methods, ensuring alignment and standardization • Be an advocate for the cultural change required to enable the organization success in the future.

Primary working relationships & interfaces: Internal Relationships exist with all functional departments External Relationships exist with, Group and Corporate Leaders, and other Meggitt SBU’s and Companies

Key skills and competencies required: Ideal candidate can demonstrate prior experience deploying such systems at a large industrial (preferably Aerospace) Company (Fortune/FTSE 100) and has seen though maturity phases and several stages of excellence. Experience in System Development and Deployment, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma/DMAIC methodology Manufacturing, sourcing, quality, NPI and lean manufacturing knowledge and experience Ability to teach, describe, show and follow up on excellent Six Sigma tools knowledge with several cycles of learning Integrative thinking, leadership impact/influence, and change management skills Excellent communication & presentation skills (verbal and written) Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate the implementation of significant changes in a large organization Ability to build consensus across multiple functions and all levels of the enterprise Ability to simplify and clarify complex and ambiguous problems Strong Program/Project Management skills Clear understanding of the linkages of demand through production and distribution - Design for Flow Track record of driving solutions to assigned tasks utilizing a proactive approach to problem solving Demonstrated experience in strategic planning as well as tactical execution road map development

Desirable skills: Experience leading mfg/MRO operations or equivalent Experience in manufacturing/sourcing transitions management Demonstrated experience in OD/OE toolset and methodology Demonstrated experience in driving functional excellence Initiatives- PM and NPI Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial, supply chain mgmt or equivalent technical field would be advantageous MS/MBA with supply chain/manufacturing/industrial engineering concentration is a plus/desired Lean Master Certification equivalent required and Six Sigma certification a plus Program/Project Management certification preferred
