Role Summary:

As our new Sr Director – Digital Product Cost/Pricing, you will play a key leadership role in the overall GED organization providing oversight to our end to end pricing strategy and operational function. Working with key functional leaders, this role will define and mange overall pricing approach, drive cost management, optimize product margins and ensure successful implementation to Commercial and Operational organizations.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead and develop the pricing strategy, cost management and metering teams

  • Manage and supervise pricing and operations team to support activities inclusive of new price generation as well as across a matrix of functions to deliver on product pricing strategy.

  • Manage pricing/costing feedback loop and ensure timely response to sales team as well as coordination with product management teams

  • Primary point of contact for Product DOA exception requests

  • Implement and execute pricing enablement and CPQ implementation with commercial teams

  • Provide pricing evaluation and implications for new products, operating models, sales contracts, marketing programs, and technology solutions relating to the business.

  • Defines and implements pricing methodologies for horizontal products, industry product extensions, platform services and legacy licensing conversion programs

  • Ensure alignment between business and pricing strategy. Own governance of cross-functional process to complete pricing decisions and updates.

  • Ensure alignment of pricing models with value engineering in marketing organization

  • Lead effort on transition to consumption and/or Subscription pricing model for appropriate products in the portfolio.

  • Manage price value-proposition to end-customer, including total cost of ownership (TCO).

  • Coordinate with Product Marketing and Product Management to ensure regular customer feedback is incorporated into pricing policies through surveys, focus groups, or other means.

  • Monitor win/loss data and competitive pricing approaches

  • Ensure alignment and deliverables with Product Launch processes

  • Ensure pricing approaches are aligned with measured against core financial goals (EBITDA, etc.)

  • Implement billing and invoicing capabilities and infrastructure for subscription license management

  • Manage complete cost to serve for product portfolio. Implement metering, cost/usage analytics to ensure optimal price point and margin management.

  • Define profitability, discounting and transfer price structures for implementation with the commercial teams and business units.

  • Implement pricing analytics and measure price realization and drive transparency on cash generation. Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology,Engineering and Math), Business, Finance, or equivalent degree

  • A minimum of 10+ years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across product lines.

  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, including core competencies in financial modeling and analysis and familiarity with corporate accounting.

  • Understanding of GE Business Units and operating models strongly desired. Eligibility Requirements:

  • Track record of success in setting & driving strategy for the organization in relation to upstream and downstream effects. Implementing and driving program/product strategy within the organization

  • Knowledge and ability to sell and improve the Program/Product Management process, its outcomes and ongoing results
