Job Role and Responsibility

  • Consultant Architect role responsible for leading customer engagements to include NSX, Workspace ONE AirWatchTM console, Workspace ONE Horizon, Identity Manager (IDM), including all relevant 3rd party technical components

  • Responsible driving customer requirements and developing customer solution roadmap, system architecture & design, and deployment and implementation plan

  • Technical lead on delivery efforts and providing technical reach back for delivery consultants

  • Security expert helping to enhance customer security through an end to end solution leveraging VMW solutions for the customers to include mobility management

  • Working with customers to provide recommendations to security operational plans for continued maintenance, monitoring, alerting, and actions

  • You will lead virtual network, mobile data terminal, client software installation and configuration activities

  • Support virtual network, mobile & desktop application and console implementation efforts, including application configuration, testing, and issue resolution, both on-site at the client location and remotely

  • Lead end-user training efforts, including creation of user documentation and hands-on training exercise(s), for both operational and technical users

  • Support and /or lead multiple customer implementations concurrently

  • Provide Workspace ONE solution feedback to our Software Development team to allow for continuous product improvement based on internal and external product experiences

  • Support Workspace ONE software quality assurance activities, including testing and documentation of product issues

  • Establish clear, accurate project timelines and schedules; monitor progress against schedule; build in and execute contingency plans as necessary

  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during implementation

  • Update and maintain project issues list, which includes prioritizing issues

  • Actively seek out opportunities to teach others; coach team members to achieve higher performance

Required Skills

  • 7+ years professional experience in a client facing or consulting role

  • Experience with the implementation of VMW end user computing technology integrated with IDM for end user secure access to data and applications

  • Understanding of network security and mobile device communication and web application structure and data flow

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical topics in simple terms; is able to think quickly and react to client-impacting situations

  • Technical and creative problem solving skills

  • Possess the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment

  • Ability to lead & provide tasking to junior team members

  • Have Initiative to successfully complete projects and promote company advancement.

  • Possess active VMW certification in VCP6-NV, VCPDW-2018

  • B.S. degree and / or technical discipline from an accredited college / university

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with scripting languages a plus, particularly PowerShell

  • Experience with coding: PHP, ASP, .Net, C++, JavaScript / JQuery / AJAX, Objective C, XML / HTML, SQL

  • Experience with server configuration: Windows Server 2012R2 / 2012 / 2008, Linux Forms (Ubuntu, Fedora, Red Hat, OpenSUSE), Web server platforms (IIS, Apache)

  • Knowledge of database configuration: SQL Server 2014 / 2012 / 2008R2

  • Experience in Product Management, Project Management, or Change Management

  • Solid understanding of specific mobile device platforms preferred

  • Technical design and documentation experience preferred

  • Ability to travel up to 50 percent of the time

  • Active Clearance
