Our site in Perry, Ohio is part of the Global Manufacturing Solutions (GMS) business. Summary: Responsible for inspecting and auditing the quality of workmanship of the completed circuit boards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

  • proficient in determining accept reject criteria based on TT Electronics Workmanship Standards (IPC-A-610 current rev)

  • perform first article inspections on new product from customer prints

  • complete 1st article sheets, audit log, and Certificates of Conformance

  • perform database entry, print reports, (if required) and ability to use the internal email system

  • effectively interface with Quality engineering and supervisor

  • maintain good housekeeping and workplace organization

  • good organization of print reviews, ECR's, customer specifications, etc.

  • accurately completes department paperwork

  • use basic computer skills for inquiries and information gathering

  • schedule own work load (1st article, product audits)

  • able to interpret ECRs and perform ECR first articles without assistance

  • assist in training new team members per QP10/1-01

  • review/audit all jobs in plant

  • perform systems audits independently (i.e. ESD and limited shelf life)

  • assist with and perform first articles on some products

  • approve pad and track repair

  • QP6/2-01 In-process/1st Piece Inspection (If Required)

  • QP6/2-02 Sampling Procedure and use of Quick Ref. Sampling Chart

  • QP6/3-01 Final Inspection Procedure

  • ECR interpretation and implementation, i.e. verification and sign-off

  • QP6/6-01 Product ID and Traceability

  • ID most or all component types and values

  • communication skills with co-workers, audited areas and engineering support

  • the requirements of internal and external customers

  • SOP7/1-11 Stamp Control procedure

  • tray, cart, and bin labeling requirements. I.E. Flip charts, Final QA tag and stamp

  • minimum of two years as an auditor with proficiency

  • component ID training

  • completed quality systems training

  • all safety and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) requirements of the area

  • principles of ESD and uses ESD precautions in material handling

  • inventory control methods (i.e. shortages, NCM process, and understand of work order system)

  • completed IPC workmanship training

  • all material transactions within computer (inventory audit trails)

  • ECR database

  • ITAR restrictions when dealing with badges and ITAR related materials and documentation

  • the 6S system (Sort, Simplify, Sweep, Standardize, Self-Discipline, Safety) and adheres to and encourages others to comply with the principles

  • the Green Sheet program and our efforts to continuously improve

  • the company’s mission statement, quality policy and performance metrics and understands their part in making them successful

  • Physical Demands: The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by Team Member to successfully perform of the essential functions of this job.

Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Constantly reach 90-100% of the time; Occasionally stoop, stand, walk, push, lift, grasp, talk, walk, lift, grasp 30-60%; Rarely balance, finger, 0-30% of the time.

Visual Acuity: The Team member is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities for visual inspection, using measurement devices; and/or assembly of parts at distances close to the eyes. Ability or increased ability to see color, or perceive color differences, under normal lighting conditions.

Work Environment: The Team member is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not room temperature changes, there is sufficient noise to cause the worker to increase volume in order to be heard above ambient noise level. Team Member is occasionally (30-60% of the time) subjected to odors and frequently (60-90% of the time) required to wear nitral gloves

The Team Member is required to work overtime on an occasional (30-60% of the time) basis.
