AREA OF EXPERTISE:

Responsible for scoping and managing projects, executing consumer website content changes and the implementation of SEO strategies for the Carrier, Bryant and ICP consumer websites.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Consumer Website Specialist role reports to the Manager of Marketing Technologies and will work with the Consumer Website Technology Manager along with the brand, product marketing, and development teams to:

1) Optimize our sites for SEO

2) Improve site content

3) Help to develop the next set of roadmap technology features/direction for the sites

This role will work cross-functionally within our marketing technologies, web development, information technology, brand and channel marketing teams.

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing multiple website properties to ensure sites remain active, ensuring content (editorial/image/product) is updated and users receive an engaging and educational customer experience

  • Collaborate with marketing managers, IT providers and advertising agencies to develop, support and maintain all digital campaigns and websites for the business, including targeting requirements, content strategy, visual layout/formatting, site architecture, navigation and functional specifications

  • Scope, monitor and manage project plans to ensure business requirements are accurately met on time and on budget to ensure maximum engagement. Maintains communication with the stakeholders to manage expectations throughout the projects

  • Develop technical requirements and work with development teams from project initiation through completion

  • Track metrics and analytics to understand user engagement, experience and behavioral tracking

  • Translate technical jargon into easy-to-understand language and communicate to business stakeholders

  • Responsible for analyzing competitive landscape (active channels/messaging) and application offering

  • Work with corporate IT team to ensure business readiness for the support and maintenance of website portfolio

Qualification: Cross functional work experience and evidence of a thorough working knowledge of the following: Google Analytics, Digital ad tracking, writing HTML, JavaScript and CGI scripts, XML, ASP.Net, PHP; HTML editors, browsers, and database design.

  • Microsoft SharePoint 2010, and Tridion SDL experience a plus.

  • Ability to use Photoshop, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Strong knowledge of search engine optimization; including knowledge of schema.org, search engine spiders, and other search engine ranking factors.

  • Previous experience in Marketing and Adobe Creative Design applications in a web-based environment required.

  • Previous experience with Web Services, HP Quality Assurance Tools (QTP/QC), business process automation tools, core business transactions, oracle and/or MS SQL Service is desirable plus.

  • Proven experience with creating requirements or project definition documentation, and technical process flow diagrams.

  • Strong research skill and ability to design and conduct systematic, objective, and critical investigations.

  • Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.

  • Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.

  • Communication, Written - Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.

  • BA/BS degree with 5+ years’ experience
