Job Description and Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for the management and the delivery of general HR services supporting R & D, manufacturing, and finance teams at our new R & D and manufacturing operation in Gilching, which is located near Munich, Germany.
Duties will include oversite and implementation of: employee relations, compensation, performance management, professional development, retention and employee engagement and staffing programs. Key focus will be on creating and implementing customer-responsive HR services and building high performance teams. Further this position:
Will manage a team of HR Business Partners.
Is viewed as a strategic business partner, change agent, and member of the senior management staff.
Is expected to challenge the status quo and offer creative solutions to business issues.
Will work with managers to address all types of employee relations issues. Provide first level interventions and coaching to managers and employees, including problem identification, potential solutions, managing of grievances and conducting investigations when required.
Will ensure HR compliance for regional operations in Gilching.
Will support the General Manager, the Sr. Management team within the site and the HR Director EU as well as the SVP of Global HR, to formulate and implement strategic HR-related matters.
Will create a climate of trust and cooperation with the local workers council or other employee representatives.
Will ensure that the organisation’s human resource strategy is implemented effectively, consistently and according to established guidelines and budgets; contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the sr. management level so that the organisation’s human resources strategy is aligned with business strategies.
Education and Work Experience:
Preferred working experience within a high-tech R & D and/or manufacturing company. Bachelor’s degree in related field, plus 5-7 years of related experience as a HR Manager including experience with compensation, training, benefits, and staffing. Thorough management and employee relations experience required. Requires excellent communication, influence, conflict resolution, coaching/counseling and project management skills.

Must have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent verbal and written German and English language skills is required.
