RSA Identity Team is seeking an experienced software engineer who has a passion for conceptualizing, building, and testing innovative solutions to complex problems. The ideal candidate for this position is comfortable with rapid prototyping based on very loose and exploratory requirements. This job is focused on vetting and accelerating early concepts through a Build-Measure-Learn feedback loop process. You will work with some of best and brightest minds and have fun doing it!

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with engineers and designers to create innovating solutions to complex problems.

  • Rapidly prototype new concepts and customer experiences

  • Solve complex technological problems

  • Conduct technology research and concept specification

  • Produce technical notes and design specifications for internal audiences

  • Produce and deliver technical presentations to external audiences

  • Drive innovation initiatives in the identity space across one or more engineering teams

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of Software development experience

  • Analytical, creative and have strong problem-solving skills

  • Good grasp of software architecture concepts and willing to deal with the "big picture" perspective

  • Passion for technology innovation and solving technically-challenging problems

  • Passion for the customer, user experience and auctioning user feedback

  • Good understanding of software engineering techniques, methodologies and practices

  • Strong Java programming skills

  • Comfortable with one or more other mid-level programming and scripting languages (Swift, Objective-C, C#, C++ and Python)

  • Demonstrated history of building prototypes (professional and/or personal projects)

  • Experience designing and building cloud-based applications and services

  • Experience designing and building desktop or mobile applications

  • Willingness to acquire new knowledge and work with new technologies and tools

  • Experience designing identity protocols and authentication solutions is a plus

  • Experience with UI design and familiarity with prototyping tools is a plus

  • Willing and able to work independently and as a member of a team

  • Ability to thrive in an agile and collaborative working environment
